Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: December 13, 2025

1. General Principles

This policy governs the terms for refunds and cancellations related to services provided by **DG TECH INDIA** (A Unit of Webfintech Digital Private Limited). Our refund policy varies depending on the type of service purchased (Custom Project vs. Subscription/Product).

By making a payment for our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

2. Policy for Custom Projects (Websites, Software Development)

Custom projects require significant upfront resources, time allocation, and preliminary work. Therefore, the cancellation and refund policy is strictly based on the project phase:

Project Cancellation Before Start:

  • If the client cancels the project **within 7 days of payment** and **before any work or resources have been allocated**, a full refund of the initial deposit (less a 5% administrative fee) may be granted.
  • Cancellations after 7 days, but before project launch, will result in the forfeiture of the initial deposit.

Cancellation After Project Commencement (Work Started):

Once project development, design, or strategy work has officially commenced (as defined in the Service Agreement), no refunds will be provided for the fees paid up to that milestone. DG TECH INDIA will retain the amount proportional to the services already rendered and the time spent, based on the agreed project milestones and hourly rates.

3. Policy for Subscription Services and Products (SaaS, Hosting, DVCard)

This section applies to our recurring subscription services (e.g., hosting, maintenance, DVCard services, or licensed software access).

Refunds for Subscriptions:

  • **Annual Subscriptions:** A refund may be requested within the **first 30 days** of the initial subscription date. The refunded amount will be the total paid minus the first month’s fee (non-refundable) and any applicable processing charges.
  • **Monthly Subscriptions:** Monthly fees are generally **non-refundable**. Once a monthly service period begins, the client is responsible for that month's payment.
  • **Domain & SSL:** Costs associated with domain registration and SSL certificates are non-refundable once purchased, as these are external third-party costs.

Cancellation of Subscriptions:

Clients can cancel their subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will be made. The client will retain access to the service until the end of the paid period.

4. Refund Processing

All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@dgtechindia.com, detailing the reason for the request.

  • **Review Time:** Refund requests are typically reviewed within **7-14 business days**.
  • **Processing Time:** Approved refunds will be processed within **30 business days** from the date of approval.
  • **Method:** Refunds will only be issued to the original payment source (bank account, credit card, UPI) used for the purchase.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will **not** be granted in the following scenarios:

  • The client breaches the terms of the Service Agreement or Terms & Conditions.
  • The service is cancelled due to the client's failure to provide content, feedback, or necessary resources in a timely manner.
  • Changes in the client's business strategy or change of mind after the work has commenced.
  • For any fees paid for third-party licenses, plugins, domain registration, or dedicated hosting services.
